Recovery Meetings
United in Pursuit of a Common Cause
The following are Christ-centered recovery programs and meetings. God & The 12 Steps is not in competition with these established recovery groups, programs and meetings. Our intentions are to work in harmony toward the same goal of helping people find freedom from addictions through a loving, all-powerful God.
If the recovery ministries mentioned below do not have a group or meeting in your area, please check with your local Bible-based churches. If you'd like to start a God & The 12 Steps Group, please click here for details. Remember, the journey of recovery is best enjoyed in the fellowship of other believers. (See Hebrews 10:24-25, Matthew 18:19-20, Psalm 133:1-3, Proverbs 15:22, and Proverbs 24:6.)
God & The 12 Steps is a recovery meeting where attendees learn and work these 12 Steps from a biblical and practical perspective. Some meetings include topical teachings and testimonies. The easy-to-follow structure allows attendees to participate during the meeting and share at the end of each meeting.
Life Recovery Groups is a division of New Life Ministries (Steve Arterburn) where attendees can have a recovery experience in a small group setting. There are three different approaches to meeting as a group; each one centered on God’s Word.
Celebrate Recovery is a recovery meeting that allows attendees to hear recovery messages and break into small groups at the end of each meeting. Attendees can participate in their Step Study as well.
Christian 12 Step Ministry is a recovery meeting that uses a Christ-centered study guide during each meeting. Attendees learn about the 12 Steps in four stages.
RU Recovery is a recovery meeting designed to rescue, recover, and restore those in addictive behaviors through addiction recovery classes and the church.
Teen Challenge is a recovery meeting that utilizes discipleship programs that are facilitated by experienced leaders. Lifeline Connections utilizes the Living Free curriculum.
Overcomers in Christ is a recovery meeting that uses the Overcomer’s Handbook and other biblically sound resources, helping attendees experience God’s love and truth in a group setting.
Overcomers Outreach is a recovery meeting that uses the 12 Steps and Scripture. The support groups are sharing groups, not therapy groups.
