Long Term Recovery Programs

The following are Christ-centered addiction treatment programs for individuals who may need to enter into a structured treatment program, where licensed counselors can come alongside you as you recover. God & The 12 Steps is not necessarily endorsing any of these particular faith-based recovery programs.  Before enrolling in any individual rehab center, you should visit the facility and meet the staff, then pray and seek godly counsel when evaluating which treatment program may be right for you or someone else.  

JC Recovery Center is located in Hollywood, Florida, and uses dual diagnosis (substance abuse and mental health disorders) treatment and care modeled on the 12-Step Program and rooted in the Bible. Their message is one of hope, freedom, and joy. Along with the faith-based treatment center, there is JC’s Recovery House which offers a sober living environment.

Transformations is a PHP treatment center that opened its doors in Delray Beach, Florida, in 2007. They offer 12-Step traditional and Christian dual diagnosis treatment programs that last between 30-90 days.

Teen Challenge (now named "Adult & Teen Challenge") is a worldwide network of Christian faith-based corporations intended to help teenagers, adults, and families with problems such as substance abuse or self-destructive behavior. It was founded by David Wilkerson in 1960. U.S. headquarters are located in Ozark, Missouri. It has over 1,000 centers worldwide.

The Dream Center is located in Los Angeles, California, and was founded in 1995. This blessed charitable organization aims to meet the immediate needs of communities by providing food and clothing, with a focus on full successful transformation of people’s lives. Their one to three year residential program is designed to help people overcome life-controlling issues, and recover from drug and alcohol addictions.

Galax Recovery is located in Galax, Virginia, and offers dual diagnosis treatment as part of their addiction treatment program. Life Center of Galax addresses the emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of addiction.

Celebrate Hope is located in San Juan Capistrano, California, and offers drug and alcohol rehabilitation and mental health treatment. This Christian rehabilitation’s mission statement is defined by 2 Corinthians 5:17 and Romans 12:2.

Salvation Army, founded by General Booth in 1865, is an international movement, an evangelical arm of the universal church. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in compassionate outreach in His name, especially offering hope for the homeless and a path to wholeness for those who have been bound by various addictions and dysfunctional behaviors. 

Transitions of Dyer County is located in Dyersburg, Tennessee, and is a ministry of Jesus Christ located in Dyersburg, Tennessee, organized for the purpose of transforming the lives of women with life controlling issues.  The mission of Transitions is to nurture and disciple women who desire a new beginning through the life changing power of Jesus Christ.  Women (eighteen and older) with life controlling issues (such as, alcohol and drug addictions, abuse, anger, depression, etc.)  who desire a life change can find hope.

The House that Mercy Built is in Tellico Plains, Tennessee, and is a non-profit, faith-based residential program that will provide a safe environment for women to be transformed from the inside out. Their goal is to provide a place that helps women acquire order, accountability, and a strong spiritual foundation in their lives, where there has been chaos, lack of boundaries, and instability.

True Purpose Ministries has several locations including Maryville, Tennessee. Its purpose is to disciple men and women struggling with substance abuse by providing a Jesus Christ-Centered, residential program that offers hope, healing, education and life skills necessary to lead a life of lasting sobriety and fulfill their God-given True Purpose to become the Son or Daughter of God that they are intended to be.
